Solvang recognises that safe and efficient operation of a vessel is dependent on the qualification, training, expertise and experience of the staff assigned to the vessel. Our goals are to:

• Create and maintain a stable pool of experienced and well qualified seafarers.
   
• Identify and employ sea staff members who are qualified according to mandatory rules and regulations, as well as the company's own requirements, to serve in the rank they have been selected for.
   
• Employ seafarers who are mentally/physically sound and medically fit.
   
• Employ seafarers who have previous experience with the same or similar vessels to their current assignment, or in the absence of experience, have attended required training from reputable school accredited by applicable administrations.

Officers and crew members are required to comply with Solvang's standards, criteria and qualifications.
